Now when it comes to beaches, Palm Beach County has it covered. With an impressive 47 miles of coastline, it’s the go to destination for Florida’s most glamorous sandy sites. We could just tell you which of these beaches are the best, but we thought we’d go one further… From sitting at the end of a pier to setting your towel down with the locals, this is your guide to the best beach spots.
Let’s begin with a bit of a secret; The Ocean Ridge Hammock Park Beach. Hidden behind a plethora of green woodland, the only sound you’re likely to hear on this beach is the gentle flow of water. We particularly fell for the south side towards Boynton Beach where there happens to be even fewer visitors. It’s also much closer to the usual beachside facilities and is particularly handy if you need to get a bite to eat.
Walk along the spectacular pier of Juno Beach Park and sit yourself down. Here you can gaze out across the ocean, and, if you’re early enough, watch the sun rise above the azure shores. It’s a lovely spot along the coast of Juno Beach where you’ll often catch locals whiling away the afternoon with some saltwater fishing.
Along the North Ocean Drive rests the Ocean Reef Park; a stretch of long sandy shores set in front of a delightful picnic area. What makes it stand out from the crowd? Well, it’s particularly known for the variety of shallow coral reefs in the sea. We’d recommend sitting along the East Side where you’ll often notice one of the taller reefs peeking out of the ocean. It’s sightseeing that you don’t need to leave the beach for, what more could you want?
Situated in the glamourous city of Boca Raton, South Inlet Park Beach is perfect for romantic afternoon strolls along the coast. Tropical greenery forms the backdrop combining the best of both land and sea. Anyway, the reason we’re introducing this beach to you is for the jetty. Whether you’re sitting on it or beside it, here you’ll benefit from the comforting sound of crashing waves.
At the forefront of the elite Palm Beach island is the Municipal Beach. Lined with mansions, world class shopping boutiques and fine cuisine, this is a place of sheer extravagance. And as you can imagine, the beach and its adjoining carparks are always thriving with people after a slice of this glitzy island life. But if you venture a little further along towards the North, life completely slows down.
