WHERE: Find Baia Dos Golfinhos in the northeast, in the prosperous former fishing village Praia de Pipa.
WHY: There are literally hundreds of bikini-worthy beaches scattered along the booming Brazilian coast. But Praia de Pipa is particularly famed for its golden sandy stretch, and Baia dos Golfinhos (Dolphin’s Bay), is a short walk from the centre of town, and is something truly special. As you might guess from the name, the warm water lapping at this beach’s shore appeals to local dolphins. So hire a board and hit the waves, as long as you don’t mind the company of a smiling cetacea or two.
