Each week we bring you one of the best beaches in the world as our beach of the week. This week’s best beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca.
BEACH: Deia Beach
WHERE: Deia, Mallorca
WHY: If you’re after rural and rustic, it doesn’t get much better than this. With jewel-like waters, rock pools, and gorgeous, mountainous surroundings, Deia Beach is one for sunbathers and explorers alike. Tip: nip to the local beachside restaurant for a cold beer and delicious seafood at snack times.
HOW: You can drive down to the beach following the signposts from the outskirts of Deia, but as parking is limited we suggest walking along the lovely winding path from the village (it’s a pretty steep, so be sure to psych yourself up for the return journey).
H2O TONE: Lapis Lazuli
SAND TONE: Chantilly Cream
STAY: Nestled in the Tramuntana mountains, Hotel des Puig is a small and quaint Spanish hideaway, perfect for unwinding, Mediterranean–style.
WHEN: From November through to mid-march, you’ll find this place is pretty quiet – but you’ll still get pleasant blue skies. From April the weather will start getting warmer, and the crowds pour in.
