Each week we bring you one of the best beaches in the world as our Beach of the Week and this week’s best beach is one of Spain’s most beautiful beaches.
BEACH: Les Rotes Beach
WHERE: Denia, Valencia – Spain
WHY: This beach itself is perfect for scuba diving and snorkelling and has the beautiful Parque Natural del Montgó as a backdrop. Plus the rugged, natural scenery of the five little bays makes it a perfect place to sail around and sight-see. Although be warned, the Zona La Cala creek bay is a nudist beach, so you might get to see more than you bargained for…
HOW: Located close enough to Alicante airport that it’s fabulously easy to get to, but far away enough from Benidorm that you don’t feel like you’re on an 18-30s’ holiday.
H2O TONE: Crème de Menthe
SAND TONE: Vanilla Angel Delight
STAY: Hotel Les Rotes. Snuggled between the Montgó natural park and the Cabo San Antonio marine reserve a dash of Spanish decadence awaits. Relax amongst the swaying palms, recline on your private terrace and drink in the Mediterranean Sea views.
WHEN: Typical of the Med, Valencia enjoys hot dry summers and mild winters. To catch the best of the sun, we suggest holidaying within May to October.
